The little satisfaction of seeing your game reviewed all over the world…

Some days ago we of Immotionar launched Hit Motion, the first game with cross platform full body virtual reality: using Kinects we allow the user to use his/her full body to interact with the VR game!

I’m very proud to announce that some important VR website have already talked about it. VRFocus, for instance, dedicated us a little article, that you can read here. This is awesome, since I think VRFocus is a great website for VR news and seeing something about me on it has been incredible! Happy whatever!

So this is Christmas and New Year’s Eve is coming… and I’m finally going to have two days of rest 🙂 Sorry if I didn’t update this blog that much in these days, but I’ve been super-busy in doing stuff, like preparing our Christmas VR-card (haven’t you seen it yet? Go to www.immotionar.com and download “Best Christmas 2016” now!)… and creating my super-cool Oculus Avatar (do you like it?), but after Christmas I’ll write some great posts about VR, so stay tuned!

In the meanwhile, have very nice holidays… don’t know what is the politically correct way of saying this, so be happy whatever you want to celebrate! 😉

Full body VR game Hit Motion is out now!

At Immotionar, we’ve just made a great announcement that I want to share with you all! We’ve released Hit Motion, a game that we’ve been developing in the last weeks with some local indies: the game designer Massimiliano Ariani and 3D artist Victor Pukhov.

Hit Motion is in pre-alpha, so it is still not a complete game, but it’s already fun because using the ImmotionRoom system, it lets you use the full body to run from one side of your room to the other kicking and puching every thing that comes in your virtual sight! This is Max while playing with it… isn’t he funny?

The game is compatible with every headset (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Razer HDK, Gear VR, Google VR) and with every supported sensor (at the moment Kinect v1 and Kinect v2), so if you have at least a Kinect (but the more you have, the better 😉 ) and a VR headset, download it for free on Immotionar website! I preordered the Oculus Touch!!!

Yesterday evening has been a great moment for me… I preordered my Oculus Touch, reserving my front seat having been one of the people that pre-ordered the Rift CV1 in January!

As we already know, I paid them 199€… and I hope they will be great! My controllers will arrive in December, so I’ll have something to do during my Christmas vacations… 😉

And you, have you preordered your Touch Controllers? Have you ever tried them? Let me know in the comments section!

The Disruptive Technologies Conference is sold out!

Do you remember the Disruptive Technologies Conference (DTC) I was talking about some days ago? If you forgot it… well, it’s an event we of Immotionar are organizing here in Turin, an event about augmented reality and virtual reality (including full-body virtual reality, with our ImmotionRoom solution!), an event where we will talk about development for this technologies, where we will talk about the future.

Well… the good news is: we are sold out! In only ten days, the tickets were all taken! More than 100 people will attend it, we’re so happy! Thank you all for your love! If you missed the ticket, don’t worry… we’ll try to stream the event live, so you can follow us anyway! Cheers!

Oculus Touch price has been leaked?

Today I found this thread on reddit where a redditor has discovered that a german appliances reseller, MediaMarkt (which is called MediaWorld here in Italy), may have leaked the final price of the Oculus Touch on their e-store.

At time of writing, the link doesn’t show price anymore, but I’m a smart guy so I made a screenshot 😀 Continue reading “Oculus Touch price has been leaked?”

Thanks for joining us on Twitch!

Today we made our first serious streaming on Twitch of the demo game that we of ImmotionAR are developing with my friends Max and Viktor of NTW. The game has to exploit the full body tracking capabilities of the ImmotionRoom system and has one simple rule: “catch the f.ing cubes!”.

We had lots of fun playing it: we also made other people try it for their first time and they were really amazed! Wow, we’re happy that this game, even so simple, has had a so great feedback! At the end we also made a little interview where we explained what is our vision for full body of the user in virtual reality.

I want to personally thank you all people that helped us in making this broadcast (Max I love you) and all people that have followed us! If you lost it, don’t worry: you can still re-watch the broadcast on 3klan channel!

Let’s hang out on Twitch!

Tomorrow, 18th of August, at 3.00PM UTC time (5.00PM here in Italy) we’ll stream on Twitch on 3klan channel!

Join us, so you can see me and my fellow game developer Max Ariani of NTW making experiments with virtual reality games that exploit the full body tracking of the ImmotionRoom system. We’ve made a little prototype and we want to show it to you! This can be a great occasion to talk a bit about virtual reality, full body tracking, video game developments and have fun together! See you tomorrow!
